Cheque Book Apply: Old chequebook will not run from October 1, update it quickly or else work will get stuck

Cheque Book: From October 1, 2021, the old Cheque book, passbook and Indian Financial Service Code (IFSC) of 3 banks will be invalid, that is, from October 1, your old Chequebook will not work.

New Delhi: There is important news for bank customers. The Chequebook of the big 3 public sector banks of the country is now going to be worthless. If your account is also in these banks, then get the Cheque book changed immediately. These are the same banks which have recently merged with other banks. Due to the merger of banks, due to changes in the account numbers, IFSC and MICR code of the account holders, from October 1, 2021, the banking system will reject the old Cheques.

From October 1, all the Chequebooks of these 3 big banks will become invalid. Therefore, customers of all these banks have been advised to immediately visit their branch and apply for a new Cheque book. From October 1, Allahabad Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) and United Bank of India ( United Bank of India) Chequebook and MICR code are going to be invalid.

Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) and United Bank of India were merged into Punjab National Bank (PNB), with effect from 1 April 2019.

Banks tweeted information
It is worth noting that the customers have been alerted that the MICR codes and Chequebooks of these three banks are valid only till 30 September 2021. In such a situation, to continue banking transactions without any interruption, the customer should take a new Cheque book before 1 October 2021. From 1 October 2021 the old MICR code and Cheque book will be invalid.

Do this work immediately for new Cheque book

The customer can collect the new Cheque book from the nearest branch. Apart from this, customers can also apply through Internet Banking (Internet Banking / Online Banking) or Mobile Banking. PNB customers can apply through ATM, Internet Banking or PNB One.

Account holders will get the facility
Let us tell you that the account holders of these banks will be required to change their old IFSC code as per the post-merger bank rules to use the facility of online banking transactions. That is, if you are a customer of these banks, then get all the updates done immediately.
