According to media reports, Sanjeev Sanyal, Principal Economic Adviser to the Ministry of Finance, had ported Vodafone-Idea’s SIM number to another company just a while back. After this, he started getting threatening calls from Vodafone-Idea’s customer care. By calling, the telecom company started demanding payment of the outstanding amount from him. Sanyal said on social media that he gets calls from Vodafone-Idea’s customer care almost daily. Sanyal also tagged Vodafone-Idea’s customer care in his tweet. He wrote that he will complain against this to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) and the Ministry of Telecom.
