CBSE Exam 2021-22: Update on 10th-12th exam, board’s big decision for minor subjects, know the new update

CBSE Exam 2021-22 will conduct Term 1 board exams for short subjects from November 17 for class 10 students and November 16 for class 12 students.



The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will decide the board exam date sheet for the minor subjects offered by the schools. CBSE Exam 2021-22 has said to conduct the examination of small subjects in groups to complete the examination in the shortest possible time. For which the datesheet will be issued.

CBSE Exam 2021-22 will conduct Term 1 board exams for short subjects from November 17 for class 10 students and November 16 for class 12 students. Board Class 12 consists of 114 subjects out of which 19 subjects are major subjects and rest are minor subjects. Similarly, in class 10, CBSE consists of 75 subjects, out of which nine are major subjects and rest are minor subjects. The short subjects include all regional languages ​​and subjects like mass media, information technology, agriculture, food production, health care, insurance, agriculture. However, these subjects are not basically offered by every school.

In a notification, CBSE said that there are 114 subjects in class 12th and 75 subjects in class 10th. This means that CBSE has to conduct the exam for a total of 189 subjects. If the examination of all the subjects is conducted, then the entire duration of the examination will be around 45-50 days. Therefore, to avoid the learning loss of the students, CBSE will schedule the following subjects by fixing the date sheet in all the affiliated schools in India and abroad. will conduct the examination.


CBSE Term 1 Board Exam Guidelines

  • Students will fill the answer through OMR sheet provided by CBSE. Before the main exam, the board will provide a sample to the school to make the students well versed in answering through OMR sheet.
  • Students will also be provided with a separate sheet to be used for rough work.
  • CBSE will also conduct a webinar for preparation for conducting the exam and a webinar for evaluation.
  • CBSE Term 1 Board Exam will be conducted within a duration of 90 minutes and will start from 11:30 AM in view of the winter season.
  • This year the board has kept the reading time 20 minutes instead of 15 minutes.
