New Delhi: The Supreme Court has taken a big decision on a petition by the students of CBSE Board. Students of CBSE and CICSE boards had filed a petition in the Supreme Court to conduct the board examinations in hybrid mode.
The students were demanding the conduct of board examinations in both offline and online mode. Taking a big decision on this petition of the students, the Supreme Court has dismissed this petition.
For this reason the petition was dismissed in the court.

Hearing this petition, the Supreme Court refused to order the CBSE and CISCE to provide the option of hybrid medium (both online and offline) for the students appearing in the 10th and 12th board examinations.
Hearing the petition, a bench of Justices AM Khanwilkar and CT Ravikumar dismissed the petition giving the reason that the term examinations of CBSE have started from November 16, while the term examinations of ICSE are going to start from November 22. Therefore, any kind of interference in the conduct of examinations right now can affect the process of conducting board examinations.

CBSE, while presenting its side during the hearing in the Supreme Court, said that all precautions have been taken to conduct board examinations through offline mode, the number of centers has been increased to 15,000.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for CBSE, told a bench of Justices A M Khanwilkar and C T Ravikumar that all precautions have been taken to conduct board examinations through offline mode and the number of examination centers has been increased from 6,500 to 15,000. has been added.
The bench said it “expects and believes” that the authority will take all precautions and measures to ensure that nothing untoward happens to anyone during the examination.
