The Cabinet decided to fill 1226 posts of constables in the Police Department, which include 877 male constables, 292 female constables and 57 constable drivers.

Teacher Employees Honorarium/Cabinet Metting: Before the monsoon session, the Sukhu government of Himachal has given a big gift to the youth and teachers-employees. The proposal to increase the honorarium of SMC teachers has been approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu government.

The new rates will be applicable from April 1, 2023, in which case arrears will also be available. The proposal for recruitment to more than 1200 government posts has also been approved.


Increase in honorarium, new rates applicable from April 1

According to the decision of the cabinet meeting, it was decided to increase the honorarium of teachers by Rs 2,000 per month from April 1, 2023. 2115 teachers will benefit from this decision.

Apart from this, it was decided to increase the honorarium of part-time water carriers working in the Education Department from Rs 3900 to Rs 4400 per month from April 1, 2023, which will benefit 283 water carriers. Apart from this, the honorarium of 1300 computer teachers has also been increased by Rs 2,000.

Approval to fill more than 1200 posts

  • The Cabinet decided to fill 1226 posts of constables in the Police Department, which include 877 male constables, 292 female constables and 57 constable drivers.
  • In order to stop the activities related to illegal mining, it was also decided to fill 12 posts of Mining Inspector, 24 posts of Assistant Mining Inspector and 38 posts of Mining Guard in the Industries Department.
  • It was also decided to fill 50 posts of Horticulture Extension Officer in the Horticulture Department.
  • Approval was also given to fill 10 posts of Statistical Assistant in the Department of Economics and Statistics.
  • It was decided to create and fill 8 posts of Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in various departments in Dr. Radhakrishnan Government Medical Science College, Hamirpur and to fill 1 post of Assistant Professor in Indira Gandhi Government Medical Science College, Shimla.
  • Approval was also given to upgrade Tahliwal police post of Una district to a police station and create and fill 14 posts of different categories here.


These proposals were also approved

  • In the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission was dissolved to conduct the examination for recruitment to various Group-C posts under the state government’s public undertakings, boards, corporations, local bodies etc., Hamirpur . It was decided to establish Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission in place of Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission.
  • The Cabinet approved the Chief Minister Small Shopkeeper Welfare Scheme-2023 and decided to allocate Rs 40 crore under this scheme. This scheme will provide better opportunities to small entrepreneurs and skill-based workers like cobblers, tailors, barbers, mobile repairing vendors, vegetable and fruit vendors to get loans for business.
  • Himachal Pradesh Land in the upcoming monsoon session of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly with a view to benefit the people, resolve the issues of pending decisions of Revenue Court cases and to streamline various revenue works like Takseem, Durusti, Indraj, Appeal and Marking etc. -It was decided to bring Revenue (Amendment) Bill-2023 .
  • In the meeting, it was decided to start the third phase of Himachal Pradesh Sadbhavna Heritage Cases Resolution Scheme, 2023 from October 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023 to settle the tax assessment cases which were pending and tax recovery cases pending in the courts. .
