When Ramesh Kumar of Harmu saw 4G SIM being sold in front of BSNL office, he bought it. The youth selling the SIM told that 4G will run on the SIM. But, when Ramesh put it in his mobile, the SIM switched to 2G after being on 3G network for sometime. Seeing the 2G network on the screen of the mobile, Ramesh Kumar accidentally came out of his mouth and was duped by BSNL. Ramesh Kumar is not the only one who is caught in the fraud of BSNL’s 4G SIM. There are thousands of such people in the capital who bought 4G SIM of BSNL under the guise and got cheated. When some people went to the BSNL office and asked, it came to know that there is no 4G network of BSNL in Ranchi. On this, people asked the officials that when there is no 4G network then why are they selling 4G SIM.

Why are people not being told that there is only 3G network here. It is worth noting that there is no 4G network of BSNL in Ranchi. The extent is that even BSNL’s 3G network does not work in the smartphone. For some time 3G network is visible. After that the mobile comes on 2G. In such a situation, people are being misled by selling 4G SIM. When will 4G network come? BSNL officials are also unable to tell anything in this regard. Officials say that whenever the Central Telecom Department wants, the process of setting up a 4G network in Ranchi will start. Officials say that a proposal to set up a 4G network in Ranchi has been sent to the Central Telecom Department. But no decision has been taken on this yet.

In many areas sometimes 3G and sometimes 2G comes.

There are 25 thousand towers of BSNL in Ranchi and 6 adjoining districts. Of these, 300 towers are of 3G. The remaining 24 thousand 700 towers are of 2G. This is the reason that there are only a few areas in BSNL Rajdhani where there is a strong 3G network. In many areas like Kokar, Ramzan Colony, Kanta Toli, Maulana Azad Colony, Hadpeedhi, Bandhgadi, Lalpur etc., the network keeps coming on 3G and sometimes on 2G. After running on 3G for some time, the network then comes back to 2G. A BSNL official says that if you want to stay on the 3G network, then select the network manually. But in most of the mobile sets that are coming these days, the network is set by auto setting itself. That is, if it is getting the 3G network properly, then only it will be on 3G. Otherwise it will come on 2G. As soon as the network comes on 2G, other apps including WhatsApp stop working.more money going for sim at bsnl gate

Iftikhar Ali, a young man from Bariatu, in front of BSNL Gate, had removed his 3G SIM of BSNL and got 4G SIM. A young man sitting with a canopy in front of the BSNL office took 100 rupees from Iftikhar for this. But 4G sim not working. The young man had been running to Iftikhar for three days. On the fourth day, Iftikhar went to the canopy in front of the BSNL office, it was found that the youth did not come. On this he went straight to the GM. GM told him that 4G SIM is being given free. If someone wants to replace his old 3G SIM with 4G SIM of the same number, then he has to pay 50 rupees only. On this, Iftikhar complained to him that the young man who put up a canopy outside the office took 100 rupees from him. On this, GM immediately called one of its employees and reprimanded him for taking more money. After this the employee returned the Iftikhar Rs 50 and also activated the 4G SIM.

There is 4G service in 6 districts around Ranchi.

BSNL’s 4G service is not in the capital. BSNL officials claim that BSNL has provided 4G network service in the areas around the capital like Gumla, Lohardaga, Simdega, Palamu, Garhwa etc. Officials say that the policy of the Central Department of Telecom is to provide 4G service in rural areas, so it was given there first. There are 25000 towers of BSNL in Ranchi and 6 adjoining districts 300 towers are of 3G 24700 towers are of 2G
