Ashwini Vaishnaw: It was told by the telecom companies that the tariff of 4G and 5G will be almost the same. Union Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given great news to the government-owned BSNL customers.



Indian Telecom Industry: Veteran private telecom companies like Jio and Airtel have started 5G service in different circles of the country. Both the companies have announced to start 5G service across the country in the new year. In such a situation, some people are worried that 5G recharge will be costlier than 4G. But on this it was told by the telecom companies that the cost of both will be almost the same. Meanwhile, Union Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given great news to the government-owned BSNL customers.

5G technology will start in 1.35 lakh towers
Telecom Minister told that 4G based technology will be updated to 5G in the coming 5-7 months. He told that 5G will be started in BSNL’s 1.35 lakh towers across the country. In a program of industry body CII (CII), Vaishnav said that the government plans to increase the Telecommunication Technology Development Fund (TTDF) from Rs 500 crore to Rs 4,000 crore annually to promote the country’s innovation.


BSNL will be in a strong position in the telecom sector
In response to a question asked by Kotak Bank CEO Uday Kotak about the role of BSNL in the telecommunication industry, Vaishnav said that BSNL will be in a very strong position in the telecom sector. He said that BSNL has about 1.35 lakh mobile towers across the country.

Apart from this, the company has a very strong presence in the rural area. In many areas, other telecom companies have not been able to reach yet. Vaishnav said, ‘Telecom technology is being installed. This is the 4G technology ‘stack’, which will be updated to 5G in five to seven months. This technology ‘stack’ will be implemented in 1.35 lakh telecom towers in the country
