BSNL 5G Service: Ashwini Vaishnav’s big statement on BSNL’s 5G service, facility will start on this date!, know details

Ashwini Vaishnaw: Public sector telecom company BSNL will start 5G service in 2024. Union Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav gave information about this. BSNL has selected a consortium led by TCS and C-DOT to roll out the 4G network, which will be converted to 5G within about a year from the placing of the order under an agreement. Vaishnav said this to the media on the sidelines of a program organized to launch 5G service of Jio and Airtel in Odisha.

Started its 5G service in Bhubaneswar
He said that BSNL will start 5G service in 2024. Telecom Minister said, 5G services will be started in entire Odisha within two years. Today these services have been started in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. He had promised to start 5G services in the state before January 26, which has been completed. Telecom service provider company Jio and Bharti Airtel started their 5G service in Bhubaneswar from Thursday.

5,000 mobile towers will be installed across the state
Union Minister of Communications, Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnav and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan launched the 5G service of both companies in a program. Vaishnav said that the Modi government has sanctioned a total of Rs 5,600 crore for telecom service in Odisha, besides setting up 5,000 mobile towers across the state to provide world-class communication services.

He had earlier promised that 5G services would start in the state before January 26. Telecom Secretary K Rajaraman said the government has also dedicated 100 towers for 4G services in rural areas of the state. He also announced setting up of a 5G research lab in collaboration with Jio at the ‘Shiksha O Anusandhan’ University.
