Before the order of Bengaluru Police, Kerala Police had initiated challan proceedings against people who talked on the phone using Bluetooth speakers. According to MVD Kerala, it is illegal to use Bluetooth and phone inside the vehicle in any form, causing a ruckus among car owners.





New Delhi. Along with the car, now two-wheeler vehicles have also started getting the facility of Bluetooth devices. Through which you can talk easily when you get a phone call during riding. But recently the Bangalore Police has issued a decree. In which the police has made it clear that, if any bike driver is found using headphones or bluetooth device in the helmet while driving, then legal action will be taken against him. At the same time, the Helmet Manufacturers Association (HMA) has started opposing this order of the police. Let’s know the whole matter.

This facility is available in four wheeler and two-wheeler- Bluetooth facility is available in all four wheelers nowadays. Similarly, recently some two-wheeler companies have also started providing Bluetooth facility in their vehicles. So that there is no problem in receiving the phone while riding. At the same time, HMA India says that while driving, Bluetooth is a very useful technology, which makes you hi-tech while riding.

First action started in Kerala – Before the order of Bengaluru Police, Kerala Police started challaning action against people who talked on the phone using Bluetooth speaker. According to MVD Kerala, it is illegal to use Bluetooth and phone inside the vehicle in any form, causing panic among car owners.





There is a lot of use of Bluetooth helmets abroad – Commenting on the illegal use of Bluetooth by the Bangalore Police, Rajiv Kapoor, President, Two Wheeler Helmet Manufacturers Association, said, ‘It came as a shock to the two wheeler and helmet industry Is. Bluetooth is definitely safer than holding the phone in your hand while driving a car or riding a two-wheeler.

This technology is efficient and not prohibitive for safe driving. Also, India is not the only country to adopt it. It is already being used in USA by SNELL, BELL etc, Australia by Forcite, Livall and LS2 and many other countries and we certainly don’t want to be left behind in terms of technology and things which are best security practices are capable of.
