The Income Tax Department has extended the deadline for filing tax audit reports for the financial year 2021-22 by 7 days to 7 October.
New Delhi. The Income Tax Department has taken a big decision. Actually, the Income Tax Department has extended the deadline for filing Tax Audit Report for the financial year 2021-22 by 7 days to October 7, 2022. Earlier the deadline was September 30, 2022.
“In view of the difficulties being faced by the taxpayers and other stakeholders in filing various audit reports for the assessment year 2022-23, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has decided to conduct various audits for the assessment year 2022-23,” an official statement said. It has been decided to extend the deadline for filing audit reports from 30 September to 7 October 2022.

Under Income Tax, taxpayers who have to get their accounts audited by a chartered accountant have to file a tax audit report with the Income Tax Department by 30 September.
