Big Relief! Loans Up to ₹3 Lakh at 5% Interest Announced by Modi Govt

0

PM Vishwakarma Yojana: For centuries, traditional artisans and craftspeople in India have been considered the backbone of our society and economy. Carpenters, goldsmiths, blacksmiths, potters, tailors, masons, cobblers, barbers, and other craftsmen have not only met everyday needs but also kept Indian culture and traditions alive.

However, in modern times, people in these professions often struggle with financial constraints, lack of resources, and a lack of recognition. Addressing these challenges, the Modi government launched the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana (PM Vishwakarma Yojana) on September 17, 2023.

5% interest rate loan up to Rs 3 lakh

Under this scheme, artisans receive unsecured loans (up to ₹3 lakh in two tranches) at an interest rate of only 5%. They also receive a modern toolkit worth ₹15,000, a stipend of ₹500 per day during training, and a PM Vishwakarma certificate and ID card for identification. The government’s aim is to provide these Vishwakarmas not only with employment but also with respect and recognition, ensuring their skills reach future generations and the dream of “local to global” can be realized.
