There has been strong public opposition to Zimmer’s decision to offer free treatment only if he comes with a red ration card in Puduvayal from October 1.

Zimmer Hospital, a central government agency, is operating in Pondicherry Goremet . It employs 700 people, including specialists, professors and medical officers, and 2,600 nurses. In addition, more than a thousand people are employed as technicians, permanent employees, contract employees.

More than 500 people were admitted to the Zimmer Coward ward as the corona 2nd wave impact was high in Newfoundland. Due to this, the first outpatient unit was suspended on April 26. Subsequently, the impact of the corona was greatly reduced by various measures taken by the new government. Following this, the outpatient department has resumed operations at Zimmer on June 21. That too is only allowed for a maximum of 25 patients per day in each department.

Permission is granted only after contacting the Zimmer phone number and making a reservation and consulting with a doctor.

Currently the 2nd wave of corona infection has subsided. People receiving treatment for various ailments are at a severe risk as restrictions continue to be in place only at Zimmer.

In this case, the next control is imposed by the management of Zimmer has sent a circular to all departments. “We are providing free treatment to the poor in Pondicherry. We are providing treatment to the poor from all states. Free treatment if everyone shows a red ration card. It will come into effect from October 1,” it said.

Commenting on this, the public said, “Zimmer is currently moving away from the people. Many of the poor do not currently have a red ration card. , Yellow ration cards are not even surveyed. How can a gimmick that haunts people in Pondicherry, Villupuram, Cuddalore and surrounding districts treat people across the country? That begs the question.

Villupuram MP Ravikumar said, “Even outpatients are required to bring a BPL ration card with them to prove their income. The Director of Zimmer has announced that only those earning less than Rs. 2499 / – per month will be charged free treatment at Zimmer Hospital. .

The question arises as to whether Zimmer Hospital is a government hospital or a private hospital. It is not only practicable but also illegal for a patient to carry a ration card with them. I strongly condemn the director who issued this order. This order should be withdrawn immediately. ”

It is noteworthy that no one picked up the phone when contacted by Zimmer.
