Go First has started direct flights from Srinagar to Sharjah in Jammu and Kashmir from 23 October.
Srinagar. Wadia Group-run airline Go First on Saturday launched a direct flight service from Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir to Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). GoFirst is the first airline in the country to offer direct international flight service from Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir.
GoFirst will operate four flights every week between Srinagar and Sharjah. The first flight of GoFirst G8 1595 via Airbus A320neo aircraft departed from Sheikh ul-Alam International Airport in Srinagar at around 6.30 pm on Saturday, the airline said in a statement.
The airline said the introduction of four direct flights a week on the new route will also boost trade and tourism between Srinagar and the UAE.
