And compulsory institutes can also apply online for getting exemption from quarantine process. The online form has been developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of External Affairs and the governments of various states and union territories, including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir. , States like Haryana, Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh. As per the guidelines of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, this facility will be available to all international travelers coming to India from August 8, 2020.



As per the current government regulations, all passengers arriving by international flights in India have to live in an institutional quarantine of seven days at their own expense. After this, home quarantine of seven days is applied.

It is mandatory for international travelers arriving in India to undergo health screening by APHO. This includes thermal temperature screening with extreme caution, highly accurate, mass screening cameras.

Passengers will now have ease – This portal will help in making the journey of passengers more convenient and comfortable in a contactless way, as they will not need to fill the copy of the form on arrival. This new online self-declaration and quarantine rebate portal will then prove beneficial in making decisions based on a quick and received information to provide discounts for government officials or to get information about the latest health status of an incoming international traveler. .

All applications will be auto-routed to the concerned state government on arrival. Similarly, all self-declared applications will be sent to the Airport Health Organization (APHO) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

A copy of the acceptance or rejection of the exemption requests sought on specific grounds will be sent to the passengers via e-mail. Those who will be given exemption from mandatory institutional quarantine can show it in the transfer area only after landing at Delhi airport and can leave the airport without any trouble.

This process will not only help the air travelers, who are seeking exemption, but also the authorities will be required to complete the required formalities at a faster pace and reduce the congestion in the arrival halls of the airports.
