Apple has now banned debit and credit card payments for its users. Apple has taken this step due to the new rules of RBI.

There is an important news for Apple users. Apple has banned debit and credit card payments in India. This means that from now on Apple users will not be able to use Debit / Credit card to take any service or subscription. Apple has taken this step due to changes in the rules of auto debit by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

How will payment

If Apple users now want to pay for any service or subscription, then for this they will have to put money in Apple Funds through net banking or UPI. Apple Funds will act like a wallet, from which your subscription money will be deducted every month.

Effect of RBI’s rules

Apple stopped taking debit and credit card payments from its users due to the rules of RBI. Last year RBI changed the Auto Debit Rules for Recurring Payments. Due to these new rules, auto debit payments like all important bills, phone recharge or OTT subscription cannot be done automatically. It is necessary to give an approval for this.

Effect here

In view of this, Apple has canceled the payment by debit and credit cards. This change will also affect Ad campaigns in Apple search. App developers often run ads to keep their apps on top in the Apple store so that customers can download their apps.

According to app developers, more revenue comes from Android users. That is why it will be known in the coming time how much this will affect their business, but still there is a possibility that this will reduce the subscription.
