The government has now taken a big step to stop Corona. The Transport Department of Delhi Government has issued an order to stop the driving license test. Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot gave this information through social media.
Following the orders of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), the Transport Department has taken this decision to prevent the spread of Covid-19. With this, all activities related to driving test for online and existing appointments for driving license and learning driving license have been suspended till further orders. At the same time, steps have been taken to deploy nodal officers to avoid overcrowding in buses.
The order has also been issued by the Joint Commissioner of Transport Department, Dr. Navalendra Kumar Singh. The order said that all existing appointments will now be rescheduled and the applicants concerned will be informed through SMS.
In the order of DDMA, in view of the increasing Covid-19 cases in the city, work from home has been directed for government employees engaged in non-essential services. It has also directed for appointment of nodal officers to check congestion in buses and metro trains. In compliance with this, these orders are being issued.
The time for validity of the learning license will be extended
In the new order, the Transport Department has said that the validity time of the existing learning license will be extended. It states that all services will continue in all zonal offices while ensuring covid behavior. Under this, the fitness test of commercial vehicles will continue by following the appropriate behavior of Covid.
Corona virus cases in delhi
In the last 24 hours, more than 15 thousand corona cases have been reported in Delhi, along with this the positivity rate has also crossed 15 percent. In the last 24 hours, 15,097 new cases have been reported in Delhi and the positivity rate here is 15.34 percent, this is the highest number of new cases in a day after May 8 and the highest positivity rate after May 12. Not only this, 6 patients have died due to corona infection in Delhi in the last 24 hours.
