New Delhi. The Government of India had recently introduced the new Bharat Series for the registration of new vehicles. The registration of vehicles of this series is valid all over India. Also, on the basis of the registration number of this series, you will be able to use the vehicle unhindered in any part of the country. That is, there will be no change or restriction on moving from one state to another.

In the annual meeting of the Transport Development Council, many changes have been made in it. The 41st meeting of the council was held in Bengaluru last month. According to the meeting details, “20,000 vehicles have been registered in 24 states and union territories since the inception of the policy.”

What are the benefits

Last year, the government had informed about the new system of registration of vehicles. This arrangement frees the vehicle owners from re-registration of vehicles when moving from one state to another and being transferred there.

Currently, at the time of registration of private vehicles, the vehicle owner has to pay road tax for 15 years. If they get transferred to another state, then they have to register again. Now the number of BH series will get rid of all such hassles.

More than thirty thousand permits issued

According to the minutes of the meeting, the road ministry’s initiative to facilitate movement of tourists without stopping at check posts and without paying taxes as per local/state rules has been successful. More than thirty thousand permits and 2,75,000 authorization letters have been issued so far.

Maximum speed may increase on expressway

It said that the state governments have been asked to reconsider the speed limit restrictions to provide hassle-free traffic on major and small city-linked routes. Recently, Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari had said that he is in favor of increasing the maximum speed limit on expressways to 140 kmph.

Gadkari had said that the speed limit for vehicles on four-lane national highways should be at least 100 kmph while for two-lane roads and city roads the speed limit should be 80 kmph and 75 kmph respectively. should be.
