This is because this week the bank will be closed for 4 consecutive days. Let us inform that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) had released a list of Bank Holidays for the month of August 2021. There were total 15 holidays in this month. However, as the calendar month progressed, holidays have come and gone. Now this month only four holidays are left. Banks will remain closed from August 28 to August 31, the last week of this month. However, online banking services and ATM services will remain operational during this period.
Explain that RBI issues bank holiday list for different zones in different states due to local festivals there. RBI has set a holiday for 4 days in banks this week. However, this holiday is not for banks in every state.
Banks will be closed in many cities
on August 30, Janmashtami / Krishna Jayanti is on August 30, 2021. Banks of many cities will remain closed on this day. On this day there will be no business in the banks of Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Lucknow, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla, Srinagar and Gangtok. Apart from this, the fourth Saturday of this month will be a holiday on August 28. 29th August is Sunday. Due to this, all the banks across the country will remain closed. At the same time, there will be no work in the banks of Hyderabad on 31 August 2021 due to Shri Krishna Janmashtami.
