India Post Payment Bank AePS Charges: There is an important news for the customers of India Post Payment Bank. IPPB has levied a charge for transacting through Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AePS) at the post office. India Post has issued a circular regarding this. It has been told in this circular that charges on AePS transactions will be levied from June 15, 2022. Under this, customers will have to pay a fee for making transactions more than a certain limit. This includes withdrawing, depositing or taking a mini statement from the post office through Aadhaar.
How much will be charged
According to the IPPB circular, a total of three AePS transactions in a month are free for customers. This includes withdrawing, depositing or receiving mini statement of cash through Aadhaar. After this limit, customers will have to pay Rs 20 plus GST on every cash deposit and withdrawal. On the other hand, if the customer asks for a mini statement, then you have to pay Rs 5 and GST as charge.

According to the NPCI website, “AePS is a bank based model, allows online interoperable financial inclusion transactions over PoS (MicroATM) through a business correspondent of any bank using Aadhaar verification. Allows any type of transaction.

To make any transaction through AePS, customers need to fulfill only three conditions. To complete any such transaction, the customer has to fill the bank name, Aadhar number and fingerprint.
