Recently, the State Bank of India (SBI) had increased the limit for cash withdrawal through check and withdrawal forms from non-home branches. The country’s largest bank SBI took this decision with the aim of helping customers during the Covid-19 epidemic.

Recently, State Bank of India (SBI) increased the limit for cash withdrawal through check and withdrawal forms from non-home branches. The country’s largest bank SBI took this decision with the aim of helping customers during the Kovid-19 epidemic. State Bank of India (SBI)

SBI customers can now withdraw cash up to Rs 25,000 per day from non home branches using the withdrawal form along with savings account passbook. Further, the cash withdrawal limit for using self cheque has been fixed at Rs 1 lakh, while the limit for cash withdrawal through third party (through cheque only) is Rs 50,000.

Punjab National Bank(PNB)

PNB offers its customers three types of debit cards, Platinum, Classic and Gold. According to the official website of PNB, the per day cash withdrawal limit for Platinum Debit Card holders is Rs 50,000. Also the one-time cash withdrawal limit is Rs 20,000 and the consolidated limit through ECOM/POS is Rs 1.25 lakh. For PNB Classic Debit Card holders, the cash withdrawal limit per day is Rs 25,000 plus the one-time cash withdrawal limit is Rs 20,000 and the ECOM/POS consolidated limit is Rs 60,000. The cash withdrawal limit per day for PNB Gold Debit Card holders is Rs 50,000, in addition to the one-time cash withdrawal limit of Rs 20,000 and the ECOM/POS consolidated limit of Rs 1.25 lakh.

ICICI Bank

With effect from August 1, 2021, ICICI Bank has reduced the domestic branch cash withdrawal limit for its customers to Rs 1 lakh per account per month. Apart from this, no charges will be levied by the bank for cash transactions up to Rs 25,000 per day at a non-domestic branch. For third party transactions, this limit has been set at Rs 25,000 per day.

HDFC Bank

HDFC Bank has written on its official website that, “Receive cash anytime, anywhere from our over 12,000 ATM network. You can also withdraw cash from any non-HDFC Bank ATM. You can withdraw cash from an ATM card through an ATM card. Withdrawals can be made up to Rs.10,000 in a day. Withdrawals of Rs.25,000 or more can be made using HDFC Bank’s ATM or Debit card. During banking hours, you can use the Withdrawal Slip through any HDFC Bank branch You can also deposit check or cash after filling the deposit slip. You can also deposit cash at any of our branches or ATMs.


HDFC Bank website said cash withdrawal limit at non-domestic branch is free up to Rs 1 lakh per day, third party cash withdrawal limit is Rs 50,000 per transaction.
