Bank transaction rule changed: Now you will have to pay more than 1 transaction through Aadhaar, know rules

There is an important news for the customers of India Post Payments Bank. IPPB has revised the transaction charges through Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AePS) at the post office.


New Delhi. There is an important news for the customers of India Post Payments Bank. IPPB has revised the transaction charges through Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AePS) at the post office. According to a notification on the IPPB website, these charges are effective from December 1, 2022. Under this, customers will have to pay a fee for doing more than 1 transaction. This includes withdrawing, depositing or taking a mini statement from the post office through Aadhaar.

IPPB has told in its notification that if you do more than 1 AePS transaction in a month, then in such a situation you will not have to pay any fee.

How much will be charged

According to the IPPB circular, after this limit, customers will have to pay Rs 20 plus GST on every cash deposit and withdrawal. On the other hand, if the customer asks for a mini statement, then you have to pay Rs 5 and GST as charge.

What is AEPS Service

According to the NPCI website, “AePS is a bank based model, allows online interoperable financial inclusion transactions at PoS (MicroATM) through a business correspondent of any bank using Aadhaar verification. AePS allows you to do six types of transactions.

What is necessary

To do any type of transaction through AePS, customers need to fulfill only three conditions. To complete any such transaction, the customer has to fill the bank name, Aadhar number and fingerprint.
