Bank rules will change from June 1! Increase service charge on savings account, know new rules & charges

Axis bank : Axis Bank from June 1, 2022, the service charge on the savings account will increase. The increased new charges also include monthly service fee for maintaining balance. The charge on failure of auto debit under NACH will be applicable from July 1. Additional check book will also be charged.

These charges will be applicable from 1st June 2022.

The average monthly amount has been increased on all types of savings accounts in semi urban and rural areas. In semi urban cities, the minimum balance has been increased from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 or term deposit of Rs 1 lakh. Liberty savings account has also been increased from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000.

Maintenance charge

The charge has been reduced to 7.5 percent for all domestic and non-resident accounts under Easy & Equivalent, Prime, Liberty, Krishi, Kisan, Senior Privilege and Premium segments.

Now this will be a new charge if the minimum balance is not maintained

  • Metro/Urban – Rs 600
  • Semi Urban – Rs 300
  • Rural – Rs 250

If NACH debit fails, this will be charged

The fee for NACH has been revised to Rs 500. Earlier, it has been fixed at Rs 375 for the first return, Rs 425 for the second time and Rs 500 for the third time. Earlier it was Rs 200 in case of auto debit failure, it has been increased by Rs 50 to Rs 250. These rules will be applicable from 1st July 2022.

Increase charge for check book

Axis Bank has increased the checkbook fee from Rs 75 to Rs 100.
