Bank Locker New Charges: Big news! Bank increased charges for these services including the locker, know what’s the new charges quickly

New Delhi. If you are also a customer of Punjab National Bank (PNB), then this news is of your use. Actually, the bank has made preparations to give a big blow to its account holders. The bank has increased the charges for some of its services. According to the information given on the website of PNB, the new charges will be applicable from January 15, 2022.


The limit of quarterly minimum balance in the account has been increased from the existing Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 for the customers of metro cities. This decision of the bank will affect both new and old customers.

Know how much will be charged if there is no minimum balance

>> For urban and metro areas, if the balance is less than 10 thousand then a charge of Rs 600 will be applicable. Till now it used to be Rs 300. Please note that this fee will be charged quarterly.

>> At the same time, in rural and semi-urban areas, the charge has been increased from Rs 200 to Rs 400 per quarter for not maintaining the minimum balance. Although the bank has kept the minimum balance limit for rural and urban areas only one thousand rupees.

Change in locker charge


>> Locker fee has been increased for all sectors and all types of lockers except lockers of XL size.

>> The locker fee has been increased by Rs 500 in urban and metro areas.

>> The charge of small size locker was earlier one thousand rupees in rural areas, which will now be Rs 1,250. Whereas in the urban area it has increased from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,000.

>> The charge of medium size locker has increased from Rs 2 thousand to Rs 2,500 in rural areas and from Rs 3 thousand to Rs 3,500 in urban areas.

>> The charge of big locker has been increased from Rs 2,500 to Rs 3,000 in rural areas. Wherein in Urban it increased from 5 thousand to 5,500 rupees.
