Here is the list of holidays to be given to banks in October 2021 so that you can avoid trouble.

New Delhi. Festive season has started in the country. Meanwhile, banks in India will remain closed for 13 days from today. That is, 13 days are bank holidays. This also includes the holidays of the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays.


Banks of all the states will not be closed for 14 days at the same time except for the weekly holidays. If you also want to get some work done by going to your bank branch, then before leaving home, see the complete list of holidays. This will save you from unnecessary trouble.

According to the RBI calendar, bank holidays are different in different states. Let us tell you that there are many festivals like Durga Puja, Navratri, and Dussehra in the month of October. In such a situation, according to the calendar of Reserve Bank of India, this month there will be a long list of holidays.

Know October Holidays

October 12: Banks will remain closed in Agartala and Kolkata due to Durga Puja being Mahasaptami.

October 13: Banks will remain closed in Agartala, Bhubaneshwar, Gangtok, Guwahati, Imphal, Kolkata, Patna and Ranchi due to Durga Puja being Maha Ashtami.

October 14: Banks will remain closed in Agartala, Bangalore, Chennai, Gangtok, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna, Ranchi, Shillong, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram due to Durga Puja being Mahanavami.

October 15: Due to Dussehra, banks across the country will remain closed. But the banks of Imphal and Shimla will remain open on this day.

October 16: Banks will remain closed in Gangtok due to Durga Puja.

October 17: Banks across the country will remain closed due to Sunday’s holiday.

October 18: Banks in Guwahati will remain closed due to Kati Bihu.

October 19: Eid-e-Milad or Milad-e-Sharif is celebrated on the birthday of Prophet Muhammad. Banks in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bhopal, Chennai, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Srinagar and Thiruvananthapuram will remain closed on this day.


October 22: Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Srinagar due to the first Jumma after Eid-e-Milad.

October 23: Banks will be closed on this day due to fourth Saturday.

October 24: Banks across the country will be closed due to Sunday holiday.

October 26: Banks will remain closed in Jammu, Srinagar on this day due to Accession Day.

October 31: Banks across the country will remain closed due to Sunday holiday.
