RBI Statewise November Bank Holidays: If you have any important bank work to do in November 2025, plan ahead. There aren’t many holidays this month, but there are some specific days when banks will be closed. While October was full of holidays, November isn’t.
Banks may be closed for nine to ten days throughout the month. Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays will be holidays nationwide, and banks will also be closed in some areas due to certain festivals. Digital banking and online services will continue to operate during these holidays, so there’s no need to worry.
On which days will banks remain closed in November?
- The first bank holiday in November is on November 5th, which coincides with Guru Nanak Jayanti and Kartik Purnima. Banks will be closed across the country on this day.
- Apart from this, banks will remain closed on November 1 due to Kannada Rajyotsav in Bangalore and Igas-Baghwal in Dehradun.
- Then on November 7, banks will be closed in Shillong due to Wangala Festival.
- November 8 is the second Saturday, so there will be a holiday in the entire country, but there is also Kanakadasa Jayanti in Bangalore, so banks will remain closed there too.
- Apart from this, banks will remain closed across the country on 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 November due to Sunday.
- November 22nd is the fourth Saturday, so that day will also be a holiday. Overall, banks may be closed for 9 to 10 days throughout the month.
You can use digital banking
These holidays may impact your banking operations. If you need to deposit a check, update your passbook, or perform any cash-related work, it won’t be possible in the branch. However, online banking, mobile apps, and ATMs will always work. If you have an important transaction, such as a loan installment, recurring deposit, or investment maturity, falling on a holiday, it will be processed on the next working day. According to Reserve Bank of India rules, no major transactions take place on holidays. Therefore, it’s best to complete your important work a day or two before the holiday.
The good news is that digital banking doesn’t require much hassle. Mobile apps, net banking, and ATMs allow you to transfer money, pay bills, or perform other tasks. These services are available 24 hours a day. However, if you must visit a branch, such as to deposit a large check or process loan-related paperwork, plan ahead. Check the holiday list to determine which days are best for you.
There are fewer holidays in November, but still, check this list before handling any banking related work. Additionally, if you live in Bangalore, Dehradun, or Shillong, consider local holidays there. In other places, Sundays and Saturdays are the most common holidays. Use digital services to avoid last-minute hassles.
