Bank holidays in February 2026: Find out how many days banks will be closed in February? Check the RBI list.

Bank holiday on February 19

Banks will be closed in Maharashtra on February 19, 2026, to mark Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti. This day marks the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha Empire.

Bank holiday on February 20

Banks will be closed in Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh on February 20, 2026, on account of Statehood Day. Both states received full statehood on this day in 1987.

Despite the bank being closed, customers can use services like internet banking, SMS banking and WhatsApp banking, provided they are registered for these services.

Through digital banking, facilities like checking account balance and statement, ordering cheque book, bill payment, mobile recharge, money transfer, booking hotel and travel tickets, viewing expense details and stopping cheques are commonly available.
