With this, let us tell you that there will be many bank holidays in April. Banks will be closed for a total of 15 days in April due to festivals like Gudi Padwa, Ambedkar Jayanti and Baisakhi.

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the list of bank holidays for April 2022. According to this list of RBI, in the next month April, banks will be closed for a total of 15 days, including weekly holidays.

According to the list of holidays given on the official website of Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banking holidays do not happen simultaneously across the country. Many holidays also depend on the notification of festivals celebrated in different states or special occasions in those states.   • April 1 – Annual closing of bank accounts – Banks closed in almost all states
  • April 2 – Gudi Padwa/Ugadi Festival/First Day of Navratri/Telugu New Year/Sajibu Nongampamba (Chairoba) – Banks closed in Belapur, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji and Srinagar
  • 3 April – Sunday (weekly holiday)
  • April 4 – Bank closed in Sarihul- Ranchi
  • April 5 – Birthday of Babu Jagjivan Ram – Banks closed in Hyderabad
  • 9 April – Saturday (2nd Saturday of the month)
  • 10 April – Sunday (weekly holiday)
  • April 14 – Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti/ Mahavir Jayanti/ Baisakhi/ Tamil New Year/ Chairoba, Biju Festival/ Bohar Bihu – Banks closed in places other than Shillong and Shimla
  • 15 April – Good Friday/Bengali New Year/Himachal Day/Vishu/Bohag Bihu – Banks closed in places other than Jaipur, Jammu and Srinagar
  • 16 April – Bohag Bihu – Bank closed in Guwahati
  • 17 April – Sunday (weekly holiday) 21 April – Gadiya Puja – Banks closed in Agartala
  • 23 April – Saturday (fourth Saturday of the month)
  • 24 April – Sunday (weekly holiday)
  • 29 April – Shab-e-Qadr/Jumat-ul-Vida – Banks closed in Jammu and Srinagar
