Now if you want to go to the bank today to complete your bank related work then you can do so comfortably. Today all bank branches are open.

There is Bharat Bandh in the country today

Amid continuous farmer protests demanding legislation regarding Minimum Support Price (MSP) and other agricultural reforms, Samyukt Kisan and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha united and announced Gramin Bharat Bandh on 16 February 2024. Many services are being affected during the nationwide strike. However, most of the markets and all banks are open. Today farmers will participate in Chakka Jam on major roads across the country from 12 noon to 4 pm.

Banks will remain open

Banks will remain open tomorrow and will function normally. The Reserve Bank of India’s holiday matrix states that banks will remain open. Banks will remain open in all states today. No holiday of any kind has been announced by RBI.

What will remain open during Bharat Bandh?

This rural Bharat Bandh called by the farmers on Friday will not affect the movement of ambulances, emergency services like medical and medicine shops, weddings, schools etc. Village shops, grain markets, vegetable markets, government and non-government offices, rural industrial and service sector establishments, as well as private sector enterprises have been requested to close. Shops and businesses in towns neighboring the villages will also remain closed during the strike. Public transport will not run as roadways employees will also participate in the Gramin Bharat Bandh.
