Banks will remain closed in most cities of the country from March 8 (Friday) to March 10 (Sunday). However, services like online banking service, ATM service, mobile banking will continue during the holidays in banks. With the continuation of these services, account holders will not face any problem in money transactions and cash withdrawals.

Mahashivratri will be celebrated across the country on March 8. Banks will remain closed in many states on this occasion. According to the list of Reserve Bank of India, banks will remain closed in most of the cities of the country on the occasion of Mahashivratri on March 8, the next day on March 9 due to second Saturday and on March 10 due to Sunday, banks will remain closed across the country.

There will be a bank holiday on March 8 in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh. Apart from 8th to 10th March, there will be a long holiday for banks also on the occasion of Holi.

Bank closed from 23 March to 27 March

Banks will remain closed on March 23 and March 24 due to Saturday-Sunday, while on March 25, there will be a holiday in banks across the country on the occasion of Holi. In many states, banks also remain closed on 26 March. There will be a bank holiday on the next day of Holi in Ojisha, Manipur and Bihar. Banks will remain closed in Bihar on Wednesday 27th March also.
