List of Holidays for August 2025

25 August (Monday) – Srimanta Sankardeva Tirubhav Tithi – Holiday in Guwahati only

27 August (Wednesday) – Ganesh Chaturthi / Samvatsari / Ganesh Puja – Holiday in cities like Mumbai, Nagpur, Chennai, Hyderabad etc.

28 August (Thursday) – Ganesh Chaturthi (2nd Day) / Nuakhai – Holiday in Bhubaneswar and Panaji

August 31 (Sunday) – Banks will remain closed in all states due to Sunday.

Online banking services will be available

During bank holidays, you will be able to transact through net banking, mobile banking, UPI and ATM. But services like check clearing and draft making will remain closed. If you have to settle any important bank work, then plan before or after these dates. Digital transactions will be possible during the holidays, but the service available in the branch will not be available.

Stock market holiday

BSE and NSE will also remain closed on August 27 on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
