Bank Holiday: This week begins with Navratri on Monday, September 22nd. As such, many people are wondering whether banks will be open or closed tomorrow. It’s worth noting that banks in many cities will be closed for four days this week, including Saturday and Sunday holidays. According to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines, banks across the country are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month, and on all Sundays.
On which days will banks remain closed?
- Banks will remain closed in Jaipur on September 22 (Monday) due to Navratri Kalash Sthapana .
- Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Srinagar on September 23 (Tuesday) on account of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji’s birth anniversary.
- September 27 (Saturday) is the fourth Saturday, on this day banks will remain closed across the country.
- 28th September (Sunday) will be a weekly holiday.
- Banks will remain closed on September 29 (Monday) on account of Maha Saptami in Agartala, Kolkata and Guwahati.
- Banks will remain closed on September 30 (Tuesday) in many cities like Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Imphal, Jaipur, Kolkata, Patna and Ranchi on account of Maha Ashtami/Durga Ashtami.
