The last week of September is about to start and 9 days are left in the month. During these remaining days, banks will remain closed for 7 days in different states of the country. Yes, during this period there are bank holidays in different cities for different reasons.

Today is a bank holiday in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram. But there is work in banks at other places. Even before the beginning of this month, the list of 16 days of bank holidays was released by RBI. Let us know where the banks will remain closed between September 22 and September 30?


List of holidays from 22nd to 30th September

September 22, 2023- Banks will remain closed in Kochi, Panaji and Trivandrum due to Narayana Guru Samadhi Day.

September 23, 2023– Fourth Saturday, banks will remain closed across the country.

September 24, 2023– Sunday, weekly holiday, banks will remain closed across the country.

September 25, 2023- There will be a bank holiday in Guwahati due to the birth anniversary of Srimanta Sankardev.

September 27, 2023– Milad-e-Sharif will remain closed in banks in Jammu, Kochi, Srinagar and Trivandrum.

September 28, 2023- Due to Eid-e-Milad, banks will remain closed in Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chennai, Dehradun, Telangana, Imphal, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi.


September 29, 2023- Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, banks will remain closed in Gangtok, Jammu and Srinagar.

Work will be done even if the bank is closed

You may have to wait for some work during bank closure. But you can complete your important tasks through mobile or net banking. If you need cash then you can use ATM for this. Let us tell you that bank holidays are decided by RBI.

There will be a holiday on the second and fourth Saturday of the month in all the banks of the country including cooperative and rural banks. This holiday will be applicable for both non-scheduled and scheduled banks in the country.
