Balika Anudan Yojana 2020: Under the Pradhan Mantri Balika Grant Yojana, assistance will be provided for the marriage of daughters of economically weaker families. Under this scheme, the government will provide a financial assistance of Rs. 50 thousand for the marriage of two daughters of BPL family families. At the same time, a lump sum financial assistance of Rs 50000 will be provided by the government for two daughters of widowed women of general category BPL families. This amount will be given at the time of marriage of the girl after 18 years.

 



Rules of
Girl Grant Scheme Under the Girl Grant Scheme, the government will transfer 50 thousand rupees directly to the girl’s bank account. For this, it is mandatory for the girl to have a bank account. The benefit of this scheme will be given only to those girls who have not taken advantage of any scheme before. This support amount can be used only for the daughter’s marriage. The annual income of a BPL family should be less than Rs 15,000.

Benefits of
Girl Child Grant Scheme Under the Girl Child Grant Scheme, the government will provide an economic amount of Rs 50000 for the marriage of maximum two daughters of BPL category families. Apart from this, an amount of Rs 50000 will also be given for the marriage of daughters of widowed women of general BPL category. A legally adopted girl child will also be eligible to take advantage of the scheme.

 

How to apply: The
Central Government has not announced an official application for this scheme. But, it is being said that soon the government will invite applications under this scheme. The government is preparing to implement the scheme across the country soon.
