Axis Bank of the private sector has revised the interest rates on FDs. The new interest rates have come into effect from 18 March. Bank customers can get FD rates ranging from 7 days to 10 years.

New Delhi: Axis Bank of the private sector has revised the interest rates on FDs. The new interest rates have come into effect from 18 March. Bank customers can get FD rates ranging from 7 days to 10 years. After the amendment, Axis Bank is offering an interest rate of 2.50 per cent on 7-day and 29-day FDs. Apart from this, interest is being given at the rate of 3 percent on FDs ranging from 30 days to 3 months. At the same time, interest is being given at the rate of 3.5 percent on FDs ranging from 3 months to 6 months.




Axis Bank is paying 4.40 percent interest for FDs maturing in less than six months to 11 months to 25 months. At the same time, the interest rate on FDs of 11 months 25 days to 1 year 5 days FDs is 5.15 percent and FDs of FDs less than 18 months from 1 year 5 days are 5.10 percent. Axis Bank is offering 5.25 per cent interest on term deposits of less than 18 months to 2 years.

Axis Bank latest FD rates have come into effect from 18 March.

>> 3 months <6 months – 3.5%
>> 6 months <11 months – 4.40%
>> 11 months <11 months 25 days – 4.40%
>> 11 months 25 days <1 year 5 days – 5.15%
>> 1 year 5 days <18 months – 5.10%
>> 18 months <2 years – 5.25%
>> 2 years <5 months – 5.40%
>> 5 years to 10 years – 5.75%

How much interest is Axis Bank paying to the senior citizen?

If we talk about senior citizens, then they are getting more interest on FD from the bank. Senior citizens are given interest from 2.5 per cent to 6.50 per cent. Apart from this, FD facility is available for 7 days to 10 years.

In January this year, private landers announced the removal of penalties for prematurely closing all new retail term deposits booked on or after 15 December 2020 for a tenure of 2 December or more. For new deposits booked for tenure of more than 2 years, if prematurely deposited 15 months bookings are withdrawn, a penalty will be imposed ahead of time.
