Auto fare hiked by Rs 5 in Delhi
The Delhi government has increased the fares of auto rickshaws and taxis used for commuting in the national capital. The government has reduced the auto fare to Rs 30 instead of Rs 25. The minimum fare of autos has been directly increased by Rs. Whereas, the fare per kilometer has been increased to Rs 11, which was earlier Rs 9.5.

Taxi fare also increased
The Delhi government has also increased the fare of non AC taxis. A minimum fare of Rs 40 has been kept for the passengers, while after that Rs 17 per kilometer will have to be paid. Earlier this fare in taxi was Rs 14 per kilometer. In case of AC taxis, the fare has been increased from Rs 16 per km to Rs 20 per km.

Waiting rate and excess baggage charge and
Along with the change in the taxi fare rates, the Delhi government has also implemented the waiting charge. In case of waiting, after stopping for 15 minutes, passengers will be charged at the rate of Re 1 per minute. At the same time, the existing charge has been increased from Rs 10 to Rs 15 for excess baggage. If the auto taxi drivers will benefit from the increase in the fares, then the pockets of the passengers will be more loose.
