SBI HDFC Cash Withdrawal Charge: All the big government and private banks across the country have changed the rules for cash withdrawal from ATMs. Now the bank is charging Rs 20 to 25 for withdrawing money from ATM. How can you avoid this charge?


ATM Bank Charge: Online payment i.e. UPI is free but for withdrawing money from ATM, now you will have to pay more charge than before. For every transaction done after the limit of withdrawal, the bank will charge you more than before. All the big government and private banks across the country have changed the rules regarding cash withdrawal from ATMs. Banks are now charging between Rs 15 to 25 in the name of withdrawing money. How can you get rid of this charge?

First know about the new rules of the bank

SBI ATM Charge

If you use the card in metro cities, then the number of free transactions here is limited to 3. For usage beyond the free limit, the bank charges Rs 10 for every cash withdrawal. SBI charges a fee of Rs 20 per transaction if you transact at other bank’s ATMs. Apart from this, GST is also charged from the customer.

PNB ATM Charge

If you use the card in metro cities, then the number of free transactions here is limited to 5. For usage beyond the free limit, the bank charges Rs 10 for every cash withdrawal. If you transact from another bank’s ATM, then there is a rule of 3 free transactions in metro cities and 5 free transactions in non-metro cities.

Amount per transaction

Let us tell you that the first 3 transactions from the bank’s ATM in six metro cities are absolutely free. These six cities are Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore and Hyderabad. This includes both financial and non-financial transactions. Whereas money can be withdrawn from ATMs up to 5 times in non-metro cities. Financial transactions in metro cities after the prescribed limit had to pay Rs 20 per transaction and Rs 8.50 as non-financial transaction. Which has now been increased to Rs 21. The decision has been taken to increase the transaction fee due to the expenses associated with the installation and maintenance of ATM machines.
