Benefits of e-passport
With the help of e-passport, travelling abroad will become easier. This will make it easier for people to wait less at the airport and it will also become easier for them to travel from one country to another.
The personal data of the users will be kept safe in the chip installed in the e-passport, so that no one will be able to tamper with the data even if they want to.
The personal and biometric information of the passport holder will also be stored securely in the chip.
The e-passport complies with the rules of ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) . In such a situation, this passport will be valid all over the world.
Police verification also became easier
After applying for a passport, people have to go through the police verification process. In such a situation, people living in remote areas take months to get a passport. For this, the Ministry of External Affairs has launched the mPassport Police App. With the help of this app, police verification can be completed in just 5-7 days.
