The Cabinet Subcommittee headed by Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath conducted a preliminary inquiry and submitted its report on plans such as Chandranna gifts, Chandranna Christmas gifts, Chandranna Sankranti Kanuka and AP Fibernet project. Information and Public Relations Minister Perni Venkataramaiah said that the report of the Subcommittee was approved by the Cabinet and decided to conduct a detailed investigation with the CBI. One minister claimed that 150 crore rupees were shed in various Utsavi gift schemes of the former government.
