Andhra Pradesh CM Launches YSR Asara Scheme to empower 87 Lakh Women; Register & Get the Benefits

Many women in Andhra Pradesh state have incurred massive loans & now would get relief under YSR Asara Scheme. These loans were taken to cope up with expenses towards education, health care, elderly care, daily needs & other emergencies. Women will now come out of the vicious cycle of debts which they were in due to incapability to cope with exorbitant rates of interest. Government of Andhra Pradesh has taken a big step to help women by paying their loan amounts



YSR Asara—The main aim is to waive off loans of debt-ridden women SHGs in the Andhra Pradesh
All loans pertaining to the women’s co-operative societies would be waived. Women must have taken loan before 11 April 2019.In addition, zero-interest loans would be issued. The YSRCP intends to support all women from SC, ST, BC & Minority Communities, who are aged above 45 years under YSR Cheyutha Scheme.

The AP CM launched YSR Asara scheme fulfilling one more election promise & has taken another step towards empowering women socially & economically.

The beneficiaries will have full freedom on how they would like to utilize the amount & there are no restrictions or compulsions. For those who intend to invest the money & make use of the business opportunities SERP (Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty) & MEPMA (Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas) will coordinate the process. The state has signed MoUs with ITC, Procter, Gamble, HUL, Amul & reliance besides banks. Those who are interested can get training, technical transfer, marketing, loan & other facilities to set up cottage, petty, small & medium business units.

The chief minister released Rs. 6,792 crores towards the first instalment of the total due of Rs. 24,169 crores to banks of 87,74,674 women belonging to 8.7 lakh SHGs in a virtual meeting with all district collectors & some of the beneficiaries. The three more installments will be released once in a year.

Interacting with the beneficiary women, jagan said that “The YSRC government has been giving priority to women empowerment & welfare Programme starts from pregnant women to old age”.

Eligibility:
Applicants must be resident of Andhra Pradesh State

Women must be under Self Help Groups (SHGs)

The candidate must be in a possession of Aadhaar Card.

She must have a mobile number

Loan documents of bank are required

Applicant women must belong to SC/ST/BC/Minority Community

Women must have taken loan before 11 April 2019

Other Schemes which are helpful to Women directly/indirectly are:
YSR Sampoorna Poshana: Aiming to provide nutritious food for pregnant women, lactating mothers & children aged below six years.

Amma Vodi Scheme: For Children studying from Class I to Intermediate, where Rs. 15000/- will be directly transferred to the accounts of mothers annually for sending their children to schools, benefiting over 43 lakh mothers.

Jagananna Vidya Deevena: A complete fee reimbursement scheme foe college students, spending Rs.4200 crores.



Vasathi Deevena Scheme: The government is paying Rs.20,00/- to the degree, ITI, Polytechnic, engineering students towards accommodation expenditure, with an annual expenditure of Rs. 1221 crores.

Cheyutha Scheme: Provides financial support for middle-aged women, where the women between 45-60 years belonging to SC, ST, BC & minorities will be receiving Rs 18,750/- annually for a period of four years.

YSR Pension Kanuka: Women of Kapu community will be getting Rs.15,000/-per annum, i.e. Rs.2,250/- is door delivered on the first of every month.
