Because dairy co-operatives Amul and Mother Dairy have increased the prices of milk from 14th May. Amul and Mother Dairy have increased the prices of milk by Rs 2 per litre. The government and the general public are already worried due to the West Asia crisis. Meanwhile, the news of increase in milk prices can further worry the general public. In the morning itself, the government had given a big shock by increasing the import duty on gold, silver and other precious metals and now in the evening, Amul has targeted the pocket of the common man.

Amul milk new rates

The price of Amul milk has been increased by Rs 2 per litre across India.
From tomorrow, Amul full cream milk will be available at Rs 72 per litre.
The price of half litre Slim N will be Rs 27.
A half litre packet of fresh Amul milk will be available for Rs 30.
The price of half litre Amul Gold milk has been increased to Rs 36.
Amul has increased the price of buffalo milk by Rs 4 per litre.
From tomorrow, Amul’s 1 litre buffalo milk packet will be available for Rs 80.

Milk producers will get benefits

The increase in the price of milk will have a direct impact on the kitchen budget of the common people. The company says that the milk producers will also benefit from the price hike. It has been said by the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) that the cost of milk production and operation is increasing. The prices of animal feed have also increased in the last few days. Apart from this, the impact of the ongoing tension in the Middle East is also being seen on the cost of fuel and packaging. It has been said by GCMMF that the purchase price of milk is also being increased, which will directly benefit the milk producers i.e. the farmers. Let us tell you that before this, Amul had increased the price of milk last year. The prices were increased on 1 May 2025.

West Asia tensions deepen crisis

Due to the West Asia tensions, the government is already continuously appealing to the public to use less goods imported from abroad. The government is also discouraging the purchase of gold and silver. Although the prices of domestic gas have not increased in the country, the prices of commercial gas cylinders have been increased drastically. Today itself, the duty on import of gold and silver has been increased from 6% to 15%. There is a doubt that the government might increase the prices of petrol and diesel.
