Amrit Bharat Train: On December 30, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to flag off the first Amrit Bharat Train in Ayodhya.


Amrit Bharat Train Fare: On December 30, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi can flag off the Amrit Bharat Train which will leave from Ram’s city Ayodhya for Darbhanga district of Bihar. Railway Board has said that for traveling from one kilometer to 50 kilometers in Amrit Bharat Express train, the minimum fare will be Rs 35, which does not include reservation charge and other types of charges.

Railway Board has issued a circular to all the zones giving information about the fare structure of Amrit Bharat train in which the fare table is attached with the distance slab and in which the fare of second class and sleeper-class is given. The first Amrit Bharat train, which will be flagged off by Prime Minister Modi on December 30, has only second-class and sleeper-class coaches. Railway Board has not yet decided the fare of AC coach.

A railway official has said that if we compare the fare of second and sleeper class of Amrit Bharat train with the fare of other mail or express trains, then the fare of Amrit Bharat train will be costlier by 15 to 17 percent. In other trains, the fare for journey from 1 to 50 kilometers is Rs 30 excluding reservation charge and other charges, while the fare of Amrit Bharat train is Rs 35 i.e. 17 percent costlier.

In the circular, Railway Board said that concession tickets will not be accepted in these trains. The eligibility for Privilege Pass, PTO (Privilege Ticket Order), Duty Pass for Railway employees will be equivalent to the eligibility in Mail/Express. According to the circular, booking of tickets will be allowed on the basis of passes issued to MPs, Rail Travel Coupons (TRCs) issued to MLAs-MLCs and passes issued to freedom fighters as there is a provision to reimburse the same. Railway Board has asked CRIS to make necessary changes in the software regarding Amrit Bharat trains and their fares.
