After September 30, your PAN will stop working and you will not be able to do any transaction.



New Delhi. If you have not linked PAN with your Aadhar card till now, then you may face many problems in the coming days. Link Aadhaar number and PAN, only then they will be able to do any transaction. Markets regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has reminded investors to link their Aadhaar number with Permanent Account Number (PAN) before September 30, 2021 for continuous transactions.

According to the instructions of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), if PAN is not linked with Aadhaar by September 30, then PAN will stop working. If there is no PAN then no transaction will be able to take place.

SEBI gave instructions

CBDT had said in the notification issued on 13 February 2020 that if the PAN issued till July 1, 2017 is not linked with Aadhaar, then the PAN card will become useless. Market regulator SEBI has asked all companies to ensure that all PAN cards are linked with Aadhaar numbers before 30 September 2021.
According to section 139AA of the Income Tax Act 1961, only people of Assam, Jammu and Kashmir, Meghalaya and NRIs and people above 80 years of age are exempted from this rule.

Know how to link PAN-Aadhaar?

First of all you have to click on https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal link.
— If you are not registered, then register first. Your user ID will be PAN.
– Login with your User ID and your date of birth will be the password.
After this a window will popup. In which it will be written that link your PAN with Aadhaar. If it does not pop up, then you go to the profile settings of the menu bar and click on Link Aadhaar.



Here your name, date of birth, everything will be according to your PAN.
Verify PAN information. If there is any mistake, then link it after getting it corrected, but if all the information is correct then click on the Link Now button.
After this a window will popup in which it will be written that Aadhaar has been linked with PAN.
