The Samajwadi Party has begun sharpening its preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. SP President Akhilesh Yadav will launch his campaign for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections on March 28th. This election campaign will begin in Noida, where the SP will hold a major rally under the banner of “PDA Participation.”

Akhilesh Yadav is launching his election campaign from Noida almost 11 months in advance. The SP President will hold a “PDA Participation” rally in Noida on March 28th. At this rally, the SP will announce the PDA formula for the assembly elections and the ticket distribution strategy.

Akhilesh Yadav to launch election campaign from Noida

The Samajwadi Party is launching its election campaign from Noida, where the SP performed poorly in previous elections. The party is focusing heavily on these constituencies. In the 2022 elections, the BJP won all the seats in Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida) district, while the SP failed to win a single seat.

The party has already begun rally preparations.

Akhilesh Yadav will now begin his election campaign in constituencies where the party’s performance has been particularly weak, so that he can focus more on them in the 2027 elections. The Samajwadi Party has begun putting all its efforts into making this rally a success. The Samajwadi Party is also organizing a Gurjar convention in Dadri in the first week of March. It claims that people from 142 assembly constituencies will attend.

In fact, the Yadav voter base in Western UP is very low. The Gurjar, Muslim, and Dalit vote banks are quite strong in this region. The Samajwadi Party is attempting to make inroads into this vote bank. The Gurjar community is reportedly very angry with the BJP government. They believe that their community is not represented in the Yogi government in proportion to their population.

The Samajwadi Party wants to capitalize on this anger among the Gurjar community. Muslim voters are already considered SP supporters. The SP will try to consolidate the PDA vote bank through this rally. SP also benefited from the PDA formula in the Lok Sabha elections.
