Indian airline company Akasa Air is going to start international flight service from the capital Delhi soon. Akasa Air is expecting to expedite the delivery of aircraft from Boeing. A senior official gave this information on Monday.
This airline company, which will start services in August 2022, currently has a fleet of 30 aircraft. This company currently operates flights on 24 domestic and 6 international routes. Praveen Iyer, co-founder and chief commercial officer of Akasa Air, said, “We will soon start international flights from Delhi.”

Akasa Air currently operates services to 6 international cities: Doha (Qatar), Jeddah, Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Abu Dhabi (UAE), Kuwait City (Kuwait) and Phuket (Thailand). The airline has contracted a total of 226 Boeing 737 Max aircraft. It is facing delays in the delivery of the aircraft. Iyer said that with Boeing increasing production, Akasa Air expects the aircraft to arrive soon.

Akasa Air CEO Vinay Dubey recently stated that his company is feeling very good about the delivery of its Boeing aircraft. Emphasizing that Akasa Air’s international expansion will continue in the right direction, Vinay Dubey said the airline will soon announce flights to Sharjah. “Our aircraft are capable of reaching the coasts of East Africa. They can go to Mauritius, and on the southern tip, they can go to Kenya, Ethiopia, Egypt. We can also go to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan. The Boeing 737 Max is also capable of reaching far into South Asia,” Vinay Dubey said in an interview with PTI.
