Akasa Air New Flight: Akasa Air fly announces international operations from 28 March, know routes & other details

Akasa Air New Flights: Airline company Akasa Air has received approval from the government for flights to Riyadh, Jeddah, Doha and Kuwait. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the airline Vinay Dubey gave this information.


Dubey expressed hope that Akasa Air will be able to start international flights soon. The airline completed one year of operations in August. The company has 20 Boeing 737 Max aircraft in its fleet and two more aircraft are likely to be inducted into the fleet by the end of this year.

International flights will start from these countries

Dubey stressed that Akasa Air’s financial position is strong and the airline will order more than 100 aircraft in the next 75 days or by the end of the year. Dubey said, “We have just been given traffic rights for Riyadh, Jeddah, Doha and Kuwait. This process will take time…”

He said that we remain in a very exciting phase in our lives. We are becoming stronger economically. We have good cash. Now, the airline will work with the respective foreign governments for other approvals to start international operations and this will take some time. On the question regarding the time of the first international flight, the founder and CEO of Akasa Air said that it may be difficult to give a definite time.

700 flights every week

Akasa Air operates 700 flights a week. The company is currently operating flights to 16 cities. According to recent official data, 5.17 lakh passengers traveled by Akasa Air in September. Its domestic market share was 4.2 percent.
