Preparing to place another big order

The country’s young and emerging aviation company Akasa Air currently has 17 Boeing-737 Max model aircraft carrying passengers. The company’s target is to have 72 Boeing jet aircraft by the year 2027. After the Corona Pandemic, there has been a lot of growth in domestic air travel. Which has also benefited Akasa Air. After the pandemic, Akasa Air is planning to place an order for a bigger jet, which will be even bigger.

International service target

According to Indian aviation norms, Akasa Air is going to need 20 jets in its fleet to go international. And it will achieve this by adding 3 new airplanes in the next 3 months. After Corona, now the world’s fastest growing aviation market is being seen.

Company gave information

The company’s Chief Executive Officer Vinay Dubey has informed Reuters about this. He said, “Before the end of this year, we are going to place another aircraft order, which will be much larger than the order of 72 aircraft that we have placed. Akasa Air will place a sufficiently large order for the new narrowbody jet this year. The order plan comes as travel demand in India is witnessing a sharp change post COVID-19.

Order placed for 500 planes

Earlier, the country’s largest airline Indigo has placed an order for about 500 aircraft. GoFirst has placed an order to buy 72 aircraft and Vistara is going to buy 17 aircraft from Boeing Company. It is known that in the December quarter of the year 2022, the company bought 22 new aircraft, after which the total number of Indigo aircraft has increased to 300. Indigo has informed that the company has placed an order for 500 new aircraft.

Air India placed order

Air India has placed this order of 840 aircraft under the process that started with privatization two years ago. Under this order, 470 aircraft will be purchased from Airbus and Boeing over the next decade, while it includes the option to buy 370 aircraft.
