Airtel 5G Plus service has been launched and many users are also able to experience it. Airtel’s 5G service has gone live from 1 October. The company has released a report of 30 days, according to which, so far more than one million unique users have experienced 5G service. Airtel has made its service live in 8 cities.


It has been a month since 5G service was launched in India. On October 1, 2022, 5G service has started in the country. Airtel had announced the launch of its 5G service at IMC (Indian Mobile Congress 2022). After about a month, the company has released the number of 5G users. The brand has told how many people have used their 5G service.

According to Airtel, more than 10 lakh unique customers have accessed their 5G service in the last one month. Telecom company has launched its Airtel 5G Plus service in 8 cities.

5G service is available in these cities

Airtel users living in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Varanasi, Chennai, Siliguri, Hyderabad and Nagpur can experience 5G service. Airtel 5G service is also being made live in these cities in a phased manner.

According to the company, in a short span of 30 days, more than 10 lakh unique users have experienced their 5G service. Randeep Sekhon, CTO, Bharti Airtel said, ‘These are early days, but the customer response is very encouraging.’

‘Our network is getting ready every day. All 5G devices can work on the Airtel 5G Plus network. Some devices that are not getting service will also support Airtel 5G in the coming weeks. We will keep working on making our network advanced with the intention of connecting the entire country.

5G does not require a new SIM card

Airtel users do not need a new SIM card to experience 5G service. Users can use 5G service only on their existing SIM card. The company has not given any information regarding 5G plans. In such a situation, consumers can use their existing plans only at 5G speed. Keep in mind that Airtel’s 5G service is expanding in a phase manner.
