Whenever we go abroad for a trip, we always carry all our essential things with us, we never know when we might need something, be it clothes or medicines. Let us tell you, till now passengers could easily carry essential medicines and other essential items in their cabin bags in the flight, but now this will not happen in flights going to Dubai. According to the new rules, now only some fixed and approved medicines will be allowed to be carried. So if you are planning to go to Dubai, then definitely read this entire news once.
You can’t take these things
Drugs and substances:
Cocaine, heroin, opium
Dizzy or narcotic drugs
Food and animal products:
Betel nut and certain herbs
Items made of ivory or rhino horn
Three-layered fishing nets
Books and historical artifacts:
Oil paintings, certain photographs and books
Stone sculptures and religious objects
Other prohibited items:
Counterfeit money
Homemade food
Some items you can bring in with a permit or fee
If you have prior permission or are willing to pay a certain fee, you may bring the following items:
- Fertilizers and plants
- Medical devices and some medicines
- Limited availability of cosmetics and personal care products
- Wireless communication device
- Alcohol, e-cigarettes and electronic hookahs
Drugs banned in Dubai
Now it is strictly prohibited to carry some medicines while traveling to Dubai. Below is a list of medicines that are banned:
Betamethadol, Alpha-methylfentanyl, Cannabis, Codoxime, Fentanyl, Poppy Straw Concentrate, Methadone, Oxycodone, Trimeperidine, Cathinone, Codeine, Amphetamine
Caution is necessary
Check your hand bag and check-in bag thoroughly before leaving for Dubai. If any of these medicines are found in your bag, you may get into trouble. So pack everything light, but pack the right things.
