Due to the closure of landing and takeoff at the airport during the night, 17 flights will be affected. According to airport officials, international flights are also included in these.

There will be no night landing at Lucknow’s Amausi airport for the next six months. This system will be applicable from 23 February to 11 July next month. The airport administration has issued an alert in this regard. It has been told that due to the repair and maintenance of the airport, neither takeoff nor landing will be done from Amausi airport from 9.30 pm to 6 am. According to the airport management, this order will affect 17 night flights.

According to the airport administration, the strip of the runway’s turning pad has been uprooted and it needs immediate repair. In this regard, Lucknow airport management has already received two warnings from DGCA. In this sequence, the airport management has decided to start the repair work from 23 February. Told that the DGCA had warned Lucknow airport that if repairs are not done, a big accident can happen. Actually the turning pad of the runway is the place from where the aircraft turns around and comes to the runway and from here the engine gets power to fly. This puts tremendous pressure on this place. Now since this point has been uprooted, a danger has arisen for the planes.

Ballasts can go in the engine

According to airport officials, when any plane goes up, the engine draws air very fast. In such a situation, the ballasts of the uprooted pads can go into the engine along with the air. This can cause engine damage after takeoff. In such a situation, the aircraft may also catch fire. If this happens, a big accident can happen.

There will also be no emergency landing

After the start of repair work, there will be no emergency landing here. According to the officials, due to bad weather, fog or any other reason, the diverted planes coming here will also not be able to land. Already in view of the situation, regular inspection and testing of runway turning pads is being done. Its responsibility has been given to the team of DGCA Assistant Director Satyendra Verma. The Assistant Director himself along with his team is inspecting the spot daily.

These flights will be affected

Due to the closure of landing and takeoff at the airport during the night, 17 flights will be affected. According to airport officials, international flights are also included in these. Told that after 9.30 pm Air Asia has two flights between Delhi Lucknow, Indigo has two flights on this route. Similarly, Indigo’s flights to Bangalore and Kolkata are also after 9.30 pm. Apart from this, there is also a Bangkok Lucknow Thai Air Asia flight at night. There is a flight of Indigo to Hyderabad Lucknow after 12 o’clock in the night. While there is one flight each of Salam Air and Oman Air between Muscat Lucknow.
