Due to Air India Express employees going on mass sick leave, the airline had to cancel about 74 flights on Thursday also. The airline is going to operate around 292 aircraft on Thursday. At the same time, Tata Group owned airline Air India has come forward to help the airline on more than 20 routes.

On the condition of anonymity, a cabin crew of Air India Express said that taking action against the employees going on leave together, the airline has fired about 20 employees.

An Air India Express spokesperson said, “Air India Express is making every possible effort to minimize the inconvenience caused to our guests due to this unprecedented situation. We will operate 292 flights today. We have deployed all resources. And Air India will support us by operating on our 20 routes.
